How to Apply
Applications must be submitted using the online application form (below). Applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm CST on the application deadline. Late applications will only be accepted if there is available space in the examination schedule. A $50.00 late fee will be assessed for any applications submitted after the application deadline.
NACOR will contact the provincial regulatory authority indicated on the application form to verify each candidate’s eligibility to sit the examination. Candidates will not be permitted to sit an examination if the provincial regulatory authority deems them ineligible. If a candidate is found to be ineligible a refund of the exam application fees, less an administration fee of $75.00, will be issued by NACOR. A candidate’s eligibility to sit the examination will be verified by NACOR for each sitting of the examination. For details regarding who is eligible to sit each examination, refer to Examination Eligibility.
If a candidate requires any accommodations during an examination, a written letter outlining the requested accommodations must be included with their application form. For more information about exam accommodations, refer to Exam Accommodations.
Confirmation of Successful Application
After submitting an application for the examination(s), applicants will receive an email automatically confirming the submission of their application. This email will only confirm that we have received your application and will not include confirmation of eligibility, schedules, etc.
After the application deadline, all applications are reviewed by NACOR. NACOR then notifies each provincial regulatory authority of the applicants from their province. The regulatory authority will determine if each applicant has met their eligibility requirements. Once NACOR receives notice from the regulators of eligibility, schedules are built and applicants deemed eligible to challenge an examination will be informed via email by NACOR with confirmation of the location, date, and start time of their examination(s).
Confirmation of eligibility, locations, date, and start time will be sent to the email address provided on the candidate’s application form approximately two weeks prior to the examination date.
As schedules are not finalized until that time, candidates are asked to wait for their examination notice email before requesting confirmation of examination dates, times, or other details. If you do not receive email notification within two weeks of the date of your exam, please email exam@nacor.ca.
