NATIONAL EXAMINATION UPDATES: Effective March 1, 2025
Application fees for each national exam will increase to $875.00 for all exams held after March 1, 2025, and will apply to all applicants, regardless of the date of application submission.
In addition to this fee increase, both the Eyeglasses and Contact Lens examinations have been updated. While the national competencies assessed in the exams will remain unchanged, there will be adjustments to some sections of the exams. These revisions are designed to enhance the overall examination experience and ensure that the evaluation system continues to meet the highest standards required by our profession and provincial regulators.
Our website has been updated to reflect the exam updates. Candidates must review the website thoroughly before applying for and sitting the examinations.
